This is what I call a lip smacking Sunday!
We feel lazy on Sunday and prefer to have some gastronomic delights. But the astronomical prices of food just don’t allow us to have such Sundays any more. Right?
I am afraid but you are wrong! You can still have a morning Sunday delight without losing your arm and leg. Just like I had last Sunday with my friend. The breakfast was healthy, yummy and costed me just 50 bucks! Actually, 40 only!
The constant hunt for food joints across Delhi by foodie in me and my epicurean friend finally came to an end at Bikanerwala’s Rohini,Cosmopoliton Mall.
We chose to sit upstairs. I will call my seat ‘Window seat’. There was a large window on one side of me, facing lush green park. It was 9 in the morning, the Sun was not at its peak and its not-so-harsh-rays were beaming onto the glass window.
We had already placed the order downstairs when we entered and it could be ready any minute now. I wished to eat something desi, so I went for Idli Sambhar and she went for angrezi Grilled Sandwich with hot coffee.
It was our first meal of the day and our hollow stomach was craving luscious food. The food was heaven at first bite and yummy at rest. The sambhar had bit more tang than usual and the idli were soft enough to melt in my mouth(though I found it a bit salty or it could be because I prefer less of it). It was accompanied by sharp-flavored tomato and natural coconut chutney which seemed to be freshly made.
Grilled Sandwich, it was indeed a piece of awesomeness, and to tell you the truth, I wished I would have ordered this (But both of us ordering same thing doesn’t make sense, moreover, my loving friend generously allowed me to share it). The oozing cheese and mayonnaise really made my day!. A farrago of different veggies mixed in orange mayo caressed with different seasoning, it was scrumptious!.The light brown Sandwiches tasted even more amazing with creamy coffee.
Both were amazing combos to start your Sunday with.
Taste the food and share your experience with me.
I will come up with more such peerless Sundays, wait for more hunts as the game has just begun….
